Today is Bank Holiday Monday. 'Bank Holiday' always falls on a Monday. Why is it called 'Bank Holiday' if everywhere practically has a day off; schools take a day off, banks close for the day and shops close early, like on a Sunday. It's called 'Bank Holiday', doesn't that mean only banks should take the day off?
Anyways, sicne it's Bank Holiday and school's out, we all (my mother, my brothers and I) decided to go and watch X3. My verdict...TOTALLY SCWEET! It was a good movie, a definate step up from the previous two. Brett Ratner, and I don't care what anyone else thinks, was a good thing. Bryan Singer may have had a vision, but he didn't do all that good a job to make that vision come to life. You can still see how much of a visionary he is when it comes to Superman Returns, which looks good by the way, and I feel like watching it despite the obvious Christopher Reeve Clone that they managed to find. Even if I do think he looks a lot like the late Mr. Reeve, he may actually be a decent actor; kinda looks it, and if it sounds like I was bashing him, I wasn't.
Anyways, back to X3. Even though it was miles better, and did focus on other mutants, it still felt like 'All About Wolverine', I swear we see a heck of a lot more Wolvie than anyone else. Yes, he's an X-Man, Yes, he's played by uber sexy Hugh Jackman, but is he the leader of the X-Men? Not really. I mean yeah, he can also make the 'X' symbol with his claws, big whoop. At the end of the day, Cyclops is the leader, and I'm not saying that since he is it gives him automatic rights to more screen time, but they could have evened it out. I honestly felt that with all the time Wolverine was on screen, it could have seriously been shared with other characters that we don't really see much of, or haven't even seen.
I get that Cyclops had a small role, and it makes sense as to why, since he's going to be in Superman Returns and he's obviously filming for that too, but it kinda gets to me as to how much he's being underrated. For as far back as I can remember (going back to the animated series), I have loved Scott 'Cyclops' Summers, I have loved his character. Out of every single X-Man, while I love them too, Cyclops was the one that stood out. I never understood why, until some time ago, and I could go into my reasons, but they are plenty, and I'll be putting them on a website I'll be working on, which should be up very soon, like maybe towards the end of the year.
Wolverine is just a screen/glory hog. I like Wolverine, but he doesn't even respect Cyclops nor understand what Cyclops stands for. He's not just some guy with a stick up his ass and a 'leader-complex', Xavier made Cyclops leader for a reason, and with that reason comes a heavy burden. Wolverine may be cool, but Cyclops is the one who has to play the bad guy when he really wants to be the good guy. Sure, he'd like to be all gung-ho and rescue that lone mutant, but he has to think about the good of the team. In the end, Cyclops has to decide between sacrificing one life for the safety of many more, or to risk these same lives to rescue just one. Unfortunately, not many people probably realise that, and would you look at that, I happened to scratch the surface for my Cyclops-love.
Moving away from that, Halle Berry was actually pretty good in this movie. In the previous ones, she didn't strike me as 'Storm'; Storm has always instilled a sense of regalness around her character. When I look at her and see her, I think wow, she means business. Halle Berry actually neared that feeling for once, though she still had this little fracture in her shell where she wasn't completely Storm. Now we have to wait another 3 X-Men movies for her to get it right :p
Piotr/Peter Nikolaivich 'Colossus' Rasputin is obviously NOT Russian. Major error there.
Cain 'Juggernaut' Marko is a mutant, and NOT related to Charles Xavier. Another major error there. For those who don't know, Juggernaut is not a mutant, he's been granted powers by the Cyttorak Crystal (not sure if that's its proper name), but is most definately human and is immune to mutant abilities save for Telepathy. He's also Xavier's step-brother. Vinnie Jones did do a good job there, though.
Totally loved Angel; Ben Foster rocked.
Beast! *huggles Beast* He was cool, Kelsey Grammer hit the nail on the head *grins like a loon*
Also, those of you who actually stayed until after the Credits, can anyone say 'fore-shadowing'?

My Top Five Movies
Okay, in response to a text message from my buddy Bhavna, who lives over at Original Dory I am going to list my Top 5 Favourite movies, and no...I don't think any of them are new except for one or two.
- Labyrinth - David Bowie = Total hawtness in this movie. Can those leggings be any tighter?! Yeah and the story was good and all.
- Big Trouble in Little China - The Three Storms were cool and they were funny, especially Thunder. But really, the movie is good, it's not the run-of-the-mill action flick, it's comedy too!
- Big Fish - Lovely feel-good, family movie.
- 2002 - A very good Chinese movie, one of the ones that I hold dear. It's a nice story and kinda typical at points, but it's still enjoyable.
- Universal Soldier - I remembered this on my own, go me! Anyways, this movie is pretty cool and it's the only one of Jean-Claude Van Damme's that I really like.
Yep, those are my Top 5 and are in no particular order. Yeah...I like watching foreign films and I like listening to foreign music too.

No more Uni and YouTube Funnies
Hey all!
Man it feels like yonks ago since the last post. Actually it was, but I have a good reason and I can sum it up in one word. University.
Well, on a brighter note, I'm now free to do anything since my Summer Holiday just started as of 12.10pm. Now I'm off all the way until the second week of September. Schweet. Actually, I have to go back this Friday to hand in my last piece of coursework which is for Website Design, so ja, I'll be working on my website until Friday. Maybe I'll post a link to it and let you fellows browse it.
Anyways, to start off my holiday, my brother showed me some funny videos on YouTube. Yes, YouTube...the home of videos of all kinds of manner. Ranging from funny to tearful, karaoke to music videos, and cool to what-the-fuck?
Well, the following are links to three South Park parodies all using the same dialogue from South Park, but in different scenarios:
Naruto Scenario
Harry Potter Scenario
Fullmetal Alchemist Scenario
The one downside is that the anime scenarios are blatantly taken from fansubs. Seeing the subs/original dialogue kinda dampens the experience.
Well enjoy peoples!
Oh yeah, I have found my Radio Station of Life, and that is BBC Radio 2!
