A total of 6 hours sleep in 48 hours

This cannot be good for my complexion. Not that I'm into all that girly mak-up, skin care stuff. Okay...I lie, I am into the skin care stuff, but only because I eat healthy and still get friggin; spots!

Anywho, yes, my internal battery is charged with 6 hours sleep in 48 hours. It's actually a hazard because I almost fell asleep while driving home yesterday. I have no-one to blame but myself. Why? Because I stayed up until 6am yesterday doing my Development Project coursework, and it's still technically not finished, since I skimped out on a lot of the design sheets. I also stayed up until 4am today finishing off my 3D Animation coursework. I had to render, animate and write a report all at the same time! It's a good thing my mum bought me a computer, and opted for the one with the better specs, despite my regression into childish behaviour when we went computer shopping. I have no idea what possessed me to act like a stupid kid. I behaved like I did when I was like 8 years old and really wanted the Lion King boardgame!

Actually, I have some idea. I was overwhelmed with emotions and didn't know how deal with it. I felt very pissed off and upset about the night before, when I animated and rendered the first part of my animation, only to get told off for spending too much time on the computer. It's not exactly my fault that it took almost 2 hours to render what I had animated. That, and it was my first time making a character walk so it took a while to get to grips with that.

Anywho, I have my own PC and I'm in love with it, though I still feel ashamed at my behaviour. It was like there were two people inside, and I didn't know what to do. One was the immature, childish side that kicked a fuss over a tiny thing and completely forgot the skills I had learned to fix whatever bugged me, and the other was the mature and understanding one, chastising the immature one about their behaviour and telling them that they should be thankful that my mum was even buying me a computer. I think I shut down for a while, as the two ended up duking it out, and the mature side came out the winner.

Well, my if you remember, the family PC, having 1.25Gb RAM and something like a 256 Graphics Card, rendered a 240+ frame in almost 2 hours. My new PC, with specs of 1GB RAM and a 512 Graphics Card rendered the same thing in 20 minutes. 20 FREAKING MINUTES! That's like 3/4 of the time shaved off! So yeah, the rest of the animation that I did this morning took between 5 and 20 minutes to render, so it's all good stuff.

I think I busted my right wrist. It aches like anything, and it's been doing that since yesterday. The pain became apparent after I researched Carpal Tunnel, which sounds really nasty by the way, and so I think my body is tricking me into spending less time on the computer by faking Carpal Tunnel. It's what it does you see. Like for example, I always get a stomach ache when I'm nervous, or really stressed out. The pain is like no other pain and it feels like my gut is eating itself, like an ulcer. I know, because I am a psychologist (well...studied the subject anyway), that ulcers are a common result of stress. However, in my case, as soon as I get over what was causing me worry and stress, the pain goes away like it never even existed. It's like my body is conditioning/threatening me that if I get stressed, I'll get an ulcer and die. I only found out last night from my brother that ulcers don't get better, they have to be surgically removed *shudders*

Well two of my three courseworks are finished, all that's left is XML. Only a few more days before I fly away, only to return two weeks later.

Here's something for you Firefly/Serenity fans. They're making a Multi-Member Online Role Playing Game based on the series, or set in the series world. Something like that.

Going HD

Two posts in a the space of a few minutes! Why? Because I didn't feel that lumping this post with the other would work, so I made a second post.

We've gone HD! Whoo! I am full of so much anticipation with playing all my games on this TV, and watching Advent Children! It should be extremely mind blowing :) Well I hope it is, I don't really expect much do I?

Scanning for the channels takes a long time to set up. I was doing it last night, and got fed-up and used the AutoScan feature. I hate AutoScan. It just searches for the channels and doesn't even bother ordering them, so I had the following:

Channel 1 = ITV
Channel 2 = BBC1
Channel 3 = CH4
Channel 4 = BBC2
Channel 5 = Video
Channel 6 = CH5
Channel 15 = Sky

I fixed the channel set-up today and that took like an hour at most ¬.¬ AutoScan took 5 minutes. Another thinn that bites is that the Sky remote won't control all those TV functions I've gotten so used to controlling. Why? Because Sky doesn't have the make of our TV listed, so no codes were available. I also noticed that I couldn't spot some of the well known HDTV brands either...so, maybe they haven't gotten around to accommodating all of them yet, or maybe it's because our brand is not known.

Watching live-action stuff on HD is weird. You can see the motion movements and it bothers me. I'm so used to the sharpness provided by...Low-Definition(?)/Older TV's that this new HD gadget is just weird. Guess it takes a while to get used to, unless there's a way to fix the lack of sharp-ness. Mind you, cartoons and stuff look very sexy on the screen.

Grarr! *insert angry incoherent babble here*

Grarr! I am pretty peeved right now. I bought the entire anime series of Fruits Basket late last year, convinced that we would never get the Boxset released over here. Looks like I was wrong. I browsed Play.com a few days back, with the intent of checking out the availability of the Limited Edition Fullmetal Alchemist Vol. 6, which comes with a metal tin case/box thinger that you can house your DVD's up to this point in. What do I find? The pre-order to the Boxset of Fruits Basket, which is available sometime next January. I am peeved. Very peeved. I don't know who at, probably me, but I really wanted the snazzy box to house my DVD's in! Fruits Basket has been available here for like 2 or 3 years now, and I was prepared to buy the Boxset in New Zealand when I went last Summer, but couldn't because the order would come in the day after I left for Fiji.

Well, I guess I'm on the hunt for the box cover of the series, 'cause since I already have the series, all I really want is the box. I wonder if I can even purchase just the box, minus the DVD's. Guess that's something I'll have to look out for when I fly away to America. I really need this holiday/break. I didn't get one last year because I spent it completing my Java Program, and that's purely my fault. I need a break, because I have noticed that I've gotten a bit more pissy and a pain-in-the-ass. Although I don't think it'll do much good, but you never know. I have also made a lot of typo's during the writing of this post, and I have been doing that a lot. I don't even know what's the cause of the whole thing, but I really hope this holiday does something to fix me a little. I just need a break and relax. That's something a lot of us need; I know I'm not the only passenger on this boat :p

Minor updates and a notable congrats!

First and foremost, I would like to point out that my bud Bhavna over at Original Dory has just hit 100 blog posts as of yesterday. This is quite an achievement and I never really realised just how much she'd blogged. I just passed the halfway point...3 posts ago! Ah well, it's not like I have much to blog about anyway...maybe I'll start a "Random Fact" weekly, I mean there's all kinds of things that some/most people don't know. Then again, what's the point with a "Random Fact" gig anyhow? At the end of the day it's just random and nobody has use for random things, although they make for good entertainment for a little while.

Enough of my musings, let's focus on what's really important...my blog. For those with a keen eye, I've updated with four new webcomics added to the list; Ctrl+Alt+Del, Gone with the Blastwave, Penny Arcade and Pixel Parables. Actually, I've been meaning to have these up for like a month or so now, just never really could bring myself to get around to it. Now, go and enjoy them along with the rest of the collection ^_^

*sigh* I'm getting pretty tired of this bland layout, and I know I said I'd be working on a new one, but stuff happened and came up and now I'm busy with coursework and a bird pooped some toxic poop onto my car door that just refuses to wash off and it's cold and my brain is refusing to cooperate with me and I have regressed to expressing the attention span of a goldfish and I've just done what I hate most and that is to write an incredibly long run-on sentence just to peeve people off. Anyhow, the main point of the matter is *ding ding* I'll be definately working on a new layout after the holidays, provided that I can get this truck-breaking load of comic/gag comic ideas out of my head and into physical form.

I also watched War of the Worlds and I have three problems with it:

1) How come cameras and camcorders can work fine when practically every other electrical device within radius of the blast shut down?

2) What killed the aliens? Ray and his plan? Or did they all catch a cold?

3) How on Earth did Robbie survive?!

Fifteen minutes past 1am

E-yup. I spent the last three hours joining and updating my Facebook. I've been meaning to join this community back since the Summer holidays and that's a really long time ago -_- Well I've joined now and I'm tired. I've got to be up early tomorrow, so I'm off for a shower and while my hair dries I'll be attempting to make some headway with my Development Project, I was like supposed to start this two weeks ago *rolls eyes* 3D Animation is just so much more fun.

I just remembered, I had some funny vids to share with everyone...back last month. Yes, I forget the less important things in life, so here they are:

Street Fighter: The Later Years
Street Fighter Salsa
Go,Go, Parody Rangers!

Those links were pretty much taken from VGCats. Oh another thing before I go, those of you who are looking to buy the PS3 for one reason or another and are curious as to what games it will be able to play from the PSX and PS2, you can check them at this link.

About the PS3, I know a lot of people gripe about it but I bet that most of those people who have a bad word against the system will go out and buy one, either around the release date or when the price gets knocked.

Finally

As of around 12.30am today (yes, after midnight), I have completed Kingdom Hearts 2. I am extremely happy about this, I mean I stopped playing because I wanted to focus on coursework and since I'm going on a 2 week holiday from 16th December, I decided to try and complete it. I had been stumped by the Hades Paradox Cup, and after a month of not playing my skills had gotten rusty. I died the first time and then pumped up Sora with Stat-Enhancing items (something I've been adamant about not using, but I was in a rush to complete the game) and made an extra save game so that my non-Steroid-pumped Sora was still available for when I attempt the challenge again. I won and my Jiminy Journal has never looked more sexy; all Mickey Stamps on each part ^_^ I defeated Xemnas (had to go through the final battle twice because I failed to rescue Sora), and totally enjoyed the ending. I'm really happy about how they keep you entertained during the credits this time as opposed to the first half.

I must say that the combination of Advent Children and KH2 has spawned a legion of Cloud gag-comics, totalling 5 stories! Well really 5 gag-pages, with the first being at least 2 pages in length. So Look out for it!

Last Friday (17th November) I got Dirge of Cerberus and haven't even unwrapped the game, mainly to fight off the temptation of playing it when I have deadlines coming up. Rather than spending my free time playing games, I should/will be focusing on coursework. So the faster I complete my coursework, the sooner I can play this oh so seductive baby! This has also spawned a comic that deals with my addiction to gaming. Look out for it too :)

Extreeemely Delayed x2

No excuses, let's cut to the chase, I've got coursework due for hand-in in 13 hours and 30 minutes, and I've only done 200/2000 words. I'm listening to music from various countries and am stuck with severe writer's block, so I'm updating my blog.

First on the agenda, I had almost forgotten that I'd joined an online RPG, DragonFable. Granted I hadn't signed into it for a couple of weeks, but hey, I've neglected almost everything else in my life. I signed into my e-mail account yesterday and found two interesting e-mails. The first was an advertisement from DragonFable regarding their pretty cool and successful 3 minute long animation, the first of a possible series. Hey, it's not confirmed, but it's something to look forward to. To check it out click here and follow the links to GoogleVideo or YouTube. If you don't like it, just download the clip from the site; they have a range of downloading methods.

My verdict: 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5, only because I enjoyed it and I didn't like how it left me hanging at the end, otherwise a full-blown 5 stars!

Second, I'm a huge fan of Avatar: The Legend of Aang and am totally frickin' overjoyed that the series has FINALLY picked up from that horrible year gap since Book: 1, Chapter: 15. I have been going stark raving mad, and have eagerly awaited the new series. Coupled with this, I am finally getting my illegal dosages of Sokka and Prince Zuko sweetness. The unhealthy fangirl in me usually mourns the fact that they're 2D, imaginary characters who live outside my life and world. Much like how she mourns almost everything else, including that piece of smokin', white-furred, leather-clad ass, who goes by the name of Vinnie from the Biker Mice from Mars - I'm talking about the original series, not the new one. Heck, I won't touch that yet.

So yeah, why is it so important to mention Avatar? Well, I decided to do some reading on Wikipedia, and just discovered that Mako, voice actor of the loveable Uncle Iroh, passed away in July of this year. Just how delayed can I be?! Like oh my God! My condolences, may you rest in peace, you brought me joy as Aku from Samurai Jack, and yet more as Uncle Iroh. I will honour your memory!

Before I end this, that second e-mail I received? Yeah, Bhavna, we have guestbook entries for Bubblegum and Sparkles.

Don - The Chase Begins Again

"Don is wanted by the police forces of eleven nations, but understand one thing, catching Don is not just difficult, it's impossible."

This is the introductory line to Bollywood's, Don. I'm gonna get my hands on the 1978 original and watch it, just to poke out any differences between the original and the current version. This movie has been remade 8 times in Tamil and Telugu as well as others, with the current release being the 9th incarnation and the first Hindi remake since the first.

I watched this movie with my family yesterday and loved it, sure it's high action and there's more adrenaline than you can shake a stick at, but it still rocked my world. The end even had a twist that pulled the carpet right from under me, but I did have a passing thought about it earlier...just didn't really dwell on it long enough to be a real suspicion.

So yeah, good movie, not saying much due to spoilers and it being a recent movie, but if you do watch it, hope you enjoy it! Man what a rant.

In other news, I'm sure everyone's seen the trailer to that CG Movie Barnyard. Does anyone have a problem with that movie or is it just me? I mean come on, all the cows are...well Cows! Not a single Bull in sight, not even the Cows with male voices are Bulls! They all have short horns and udders. I know when depicting a Bull you can't really draw their...um...balls, but there are other ways to show it's a Bull, such as giving them a larger upper body and big horns. Kids can tell the difference between Bulls and Cows, and this movie just makes them stupid. I mean what is it? A barnyard full of lesbian Cows that have kids? How does that work out? I'm not a Homophobe, but I don't think Cattle are like Humans. If you try to tell me otherwise, I won't believe you unless you have solid proof.

Oh I also just saw the PS3 in action on The Gadget Show and I'm almost convinced to get one. The graphics looked awesome, and I was thinking of getting one anyway because of Final Fantasy. Besides, I think almost all those people who slag the system off are gonna get one anyway, maybe not now...but someday. Gaming is a love-hate relationship, and it's something I have zero chance at winning in.

Something for all to enjoy...well those of understanding age and decent humour

This here is a comic I did with a lot of help from Bhavna. I did the art and the original script and she fixed the positions and cleaned up the dialogue. We came up with the idea after reading a fanfic, the details of which you can find below.

It's just the lineart and I'm currently working on colouring it and putting together nice backgrounds for the panels. Enjoy it! Oh yeah, I do know that I forgot to complete Superman's cape in the last panel, but that'll be fixed in the complete version. The image is too big so I resized it into a thumbnail, so click on it and you'll get a new window with the image. Choose to "Full View" to appreciate its monochrome glory.

Fanfic that started it: Courting Ain't Easy
Prequel to the fanfic: Porn (G Rated)

Sigh of Relief

Ahh...My coursework is handed in, whoop! I have a cold, boo! Well my next deadline is in a couple of weeks, and I think it's an essay. No wait, that's the deadline after...the next deadline is for Graduate Enterprise and I have no idea what it is, so I'll have to check that later.

Anywho, my cold, I've had it since Sunday night and it really hit me on Monday, but Tuesday it was starting to get better but the morning was really bad. I sneezed and blood came out with the mucus, I coughed and blood came up as well. It was not my morning, so I didn't go into Uni, I just went in to hand in my 3D Animation coursework. Today I'm feeling much better, but it's still hard to breathe through my nose and I'm still coughing, but no more blood. Funny thing about that, I forgot to mention this the last time. After I finished taking my Iron tablets, I had to have another blood test to see if there was any change. The nurse was looking for my vein in my left arm, but couldn't find it so she asked if she could use my right arm because she see a vein there very clearly, I said go ahead. She put the needle in my arm, in the vein, and no blood was coming. She adjusted the position of the needle, tilting it a bit, and managed to get a decent flow but it was shortlived. I smiled, but really I wanted to laugh because it was pretty funny. Since my right arm wasn't giving blood, she went back to the left arm and managed to get her sample, and the flow was nice and steady. Mind you though, my right arm developed a bruise that stuck around for a few days.

I'm still playing Kingdom Hearts 2 and just got Enchanted Arms yesterday, boy do I wanna play it! Anyway, I'm almost finished with KH 2 so all's cool and well, though I know I'm gonna get horribly murdered by Sephiroth and the Hades Paradox Cup. However, with perseverance and pacing I know that I can defeat them and reign victorious!

One more tidbit before I go, because I'm typing this from Uni during my XML workshop, yesterday my mum and I went shopping and bought some Tetley's Green Tea. Only thing, it's actually Tetley's Not-Green Green Tea. The tea's not green and it just tastes like regular tea without sugar - I say this because I drank it without sugar. I had green tea in Japan and it was green and tasted slightly better than tea-without-sugar. I am outraged because I have another 19 teabags of the stuff to go.

Earlier in the week, my mum came home with some nifty Ginger Tea, which is just delightful. We ran out so yesterday I was looking for a shop that sold this lovely Gold Kili Instant Ginger Tea, and came across an online store by the name of Wing Yip. However, their shipping prices are pretty high, £4.50 for sales under £45.00! Fortunately, they have a store in Croydon so one of these days, my mum and I are gonna make a trip and buy some, total schway-ness.

Woes of the Coursework Kind

Damn it...the deadline for the first part of Development Project: Analysis and Design, the Project Proposal, is due in on Monday 16th and that's literally 2 days away! I have no-one to blame but myself, for letting the due date sneak up on me like this.

Not only that, but I also have to hand in my Storyboard for 3D Animation on Tuesday 17th, which is 3 days away. I guess to actually keep up, I have to pull an all-nighter for the Project Proposal and aim to have it finished by tonight. Then I can spend tomorrow night and the rest of Monday working on my Storyboard, and this should give me the necessary kick up the butt I need.

Cruel Addictions

Okay, so like, I know I've been playing way too much Kingdom Hearts II. I can't even sleep without hallucinating about it, like the other night when I went to sleep, as soon as I closed my eyes a Reaction Command started to blink, prompting me to set my alarm clock. Now let me explain this, a Reaction Command is a command where when you press a button, in this case the Triangle Button, at the right time results in a special tailor-made attack/ability for specific bosses and Heartless/Nobodies. It comes up, flashing green with the Triangle Button Symbol appearing beside it.

So yeah, humouring my hallucination, and I am still conscious at this point, I "press" the button and set the time for 8.00am, the same time I set my actual alarm clock. Shortly after that, I'm guessing that I conked off to sleep.

Graduate Enterprise is proving to be a double-edged sword. I'm keen on gaining experience, but two members of my group are right pain-in-the-royal-behinds. You give them an idea they discuss it to death, you ask them to give you an idea they look at you blankly...men!

Promise Fulfilled...only one gajillion to go! Huzzah!

Yep yep, I'm here posting on ye olde blogge. Why? Because my youngest brother happens to be hogging and playing my game that is Kingdom Hearts II. It's not like I have anything against that, but it's my game and I get to play on it. Granted I haven't asked him yet, because I feel he should get a bit more time, so I'm giving him until I finish this post.

Anyways, yes, Shadow of Memories, what can I say about this ancient PS2 game? I loved it. I have been wanting to play this game ever since it came out back a couple of years ago, and I finally play it. I had a little problem with the pronounciation of the main character's, Eike Kusch, name. In my experience, since I'm guessing it's of German origin, it should be pronounced "I-kuh Koosh" not "Ike Kush". But anyway, the voice-acting more than made up for it, sure the minor characters sounded kinda daft and surfer-dude-ish, but the main characters were done well.

Lessee...Ah yes, what the game's about? Well, it's about Eike Kusch's quest to prevent his death. He has no memory of his early life, nor of his parents, and doesn't seem all that bothered about it. One day he's killed, and next he wakes up in a strange place, with a dejected voice explaining to him what happened and that it's going to be generous and give him the means to ensure his survival. The game is comprised of 8 chapters, and at the beginning of each one the poor guy dies in various fashions, thus the goal is to prevent his death. Actually, he only dies at the beginning of the first 7 chapters, the 8th is the climax where you discover who is out to get Eike.

The graphics are really good for their time, and the music is done so well that I never played this game at night. Yes, it creeped me out that much. Then again, I'm soft that way, but still, good music. There are around 6 endings to this game, and I only unlocked Ending A, because as you know, I'm playing KH II. There also so many different scenes to open up in this game, no two choices will yield the same result...unless you did it on purpose, then yeah. Otherwise to get 100% on each chapter, you'll have to goe through the game a few times and try out different responses.

All in all, as you also know, I really enjoyed this game. It's a really good mystery game, no fighting or boss battles involved!

New Glasses...Kinda

Man, I keep putting posts off...well here's my promise, tomorrow I'll post about Shadow of Memories, which I completed last Friday, though not completely. I have another 4 playthroughs left before I really complete it, but it'll have to wait because I'm playing Kingdom Hearts II right now. Man, I love the game, there's a lot to do and a lot of worlds to visit...but I have two issues.

1)Cloud is not so aloof. I don't remember him being so aloof and petty, blaming Sephiroth for this and that. Well okay, he did have problems with ol' Sephy, that's true. It is really all Sephiroth's fault, but Cloud blames himself too and wants to make up for his past weakness. It's weird, because I agree and disagree with his portrayal. At points, I think and feel that Square-Enix is portraying him the way the fans expect him, or rather believe him, to be portrayed. Also, I don't remember Cloud trying to keep his thoughts hidden from his comrades...he always offered his thoughts, but never wanted to appear weak.

2) Yuna and Rikku made their first appearance in Final Fantasy X, not X-2. If it's to do with their costume changes, then how come the other FF characters kept their original appearances? I swear, they were pretty stupid there, whoever wrote the character bios.

Anyways, yes. I have new-ish glasses. My other pair broke on Thursday morning, while I was cleaning them and so I had to wear my old pair to Uni. Thing is though, my old pair's like 4 or so years old, the pair between them also broke. They hurt my eyes and head, since they made me partially blind. When I came home, I popped in some contacts, good thing I've got like a lot of pairs of them handy. Friday, I went with my mum and we dropped the broken frames off at the Optician's, ordering the lenses to be placed in a new pair of the current frames, so they're new frames, but not. We were told they'd be ready by Monday.

Coming home, I popped in contacts again and wore them for most of the day, until they started bugging me and put on my old glasses again. Sure enough they began to cause me pain again, and my mum asked me to try on her glasses. They made me blind, I then tried my youngest brother's glasses, they too made me blind. I then tried on my younger brother's glasses and I was blessed with sight! Utilising this revelation, my mum asked him to get his other pair and I tried them on, oh sweet Heaven...they were wonderful! I could see everything in clear, sharp detail. I almost wept with joy.

We received a call today, informing us that my glasses were ready. Boy was that quick, and so I went and collected them and am now wearing them as I type. I'm keeping my brother's glasses as my spare pair, well we're sharing it.

First Week back to Uni

Today marks the last day of my first week back at good ol' Uni. My first day was Tuesday, and I had managed to make it just in time for my first lesson, 3D Animation. A subject I was greatly looking forward to. The lecture itself was interesting, but the workshop made my head hurt. I think it's actually because of how rested I was and that my brain isn't really ready to take on heavy-duty-new-stuff. Well after this week, I think it's actually ready to learn. My lesson ended around 12pm and I headed home.

My next lesson was Graduate Enterprise on Wednesday. I woke up around 9.20am, thinking my lesson started around 10am, as did my mum. So I made a mad dash and left home by 9.45am, rushing to get to Uni in a somewhat decent time, since it takes around half an hour to get there. When I got there around 10.20am, I found out that my lesson didn't even start until 11am. Insert-somewhat-disbelieving-expression-here. During the lesson the class received information regarding the lesson, which was that we'd actually be studying the subject at Kingston University on Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm, rather than on Wednesdays. It was something our lecturer had discussed and set up with the lecturer at Kingston Uni during the Summer.

Today, Thursday, was my last day, and just to bite me in the ass, I ended up reaching my Application Integration with XML lecture around 20mins late. Damn traffic, there wasn't any yesterday ¬.¬ Anywho, done my lecture and done my workshop, which itself wasn't so bad either, and headed home around 12.15pm since we finished 15mins early. Hung out at home until around 4.30pm, then headed off to Kingston Uni; my mum was dropping me. We got caught up in very bad traffic because, from our inspections, a police car had caught fire and there were ambulance services and fire engines/fighters everywhere. Again I reached the classroom late, 45mins late. Half an hour because of traffic and another 15mins because I got lost looking for the room ^_^;; What? It's a really big campus! Anyways, had a good lecture and sort of made a couple of friends from the Uni, but we'll see next week. I'll attempt to make the effort and say "Hi," even though they were stolen from our group by someone ¬.¬

And that wraps up my first week back! At first I had two days off, plus the weekend, now I have three! Whoop! Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Joy-ness!

Talk About Spooky...

Okay, so um...yeah, when I uploaded the last post, I was using Internet Explorer but my Firewall kicked in and brought up an error. At this point I was worried I'd lost what I typed, so I hit "Back" and come back to the editing page and my post is still intact. I copy and paste it into Notepad and attempt to post it again, and again the error comes up. I go back and the post is intact, so I sign into my account through AOL and see that the post has been posted twice and I delete one, seeing that it's been posted in it's entirety. I check out the blog on Internet Explorer and see that the post is up, but as I scroll down, I see this.

Isn't that spooky? I don't know in what way, but in my weird mind, it's screaming out that it's related to that fact I pointed out about the Queen.

Anyways, the post is fixed and everything's fine and dandy.

Google's 8th Birthday

Now that I didn't know was today. Happy Birthday Google.

Anywho, I've been back at Uni for two days now, but I'll cover my thoughts tomorrow since it'll be the end of my "First Week back at University".

In other news, I plan to take you all back to Sunday 24th September 2006, yes last Sunday. My mum wasn't feeling up to cooking so we headed off to Hounslow for some Burger King. While waiting for our order, a fight broke out between a white woman and an indian couple. Okay, before you start, I'm not racist...it's just that there's no other way to phrase it, should I call her "Possible Native Englishwoman"? 'Cause if you think about it, nobody's a native to this country. Even the Queen isn't; her line traces back to the closest German relatives. So please, I'm not committing treason or blasphemy or racism or anything...I'm just stuck on terms. But just in case, I'll refer to the woman as PNEW #1, because there are two of them and the second will join later.

Right, the PNEW #1 is accusing the indian man of hitting her granddaughter, and his indian girlfriend is mouthing off and defending his honour, saying that he did no such thing. The PNEW #1 isn't letting up and is pressing the issue that she saw him with her own eyes hitting her granddaughter. To be honest, PNEW #1 looks to be in her 40's to mid-50's and her granddaughter looks around 7 or 8. At this point, the girl's mother, PNEW #2, walks in and asks what's going on. The indian girl explains in a civil manner what happened and what PNEW #1 is accusing her boyfriend of, and PNEW #2 immediately takes PNEW #1's side, what with her being her mother and all.

Thus ensues a louder verbal fight between the two parties, and the staff isn't doing anything apart from watching and saying "maro, maro", which means "fight, fight!" or can be taken as "smack'em, smack'em!" in Hindi. A white guy, PNEM, comes in and tries to break up the fight by vouching for the indian guy and saying that he knows him and that he'd never do such a thing, but the PNEW's don't wanna hear anything about it and still fight. PNEM then asks the girl if the indian guy had hit her and she says "No,", but the women don't give a crap and get all defensive screaming "Get away from my daughter, blah blah,"

Seeing that nothing's gonna happen, the women start to retreat while still cursing the indian couple, and the indian man curses likewise but in Hindi, saying something along the lines of "Harami, pehnchore, harami!". PNEW #1 one yells out "We're in England! blah blah," and so the indian guy's like "Fine you fat, dirty b****!". By the way, that's not a translation of what he said in Hindi...what he said in Hindi was much worse, and I'm not gonna translate it.

All in all, it was really funny. Judging by the indian couple's accents, they too are native Brits, as in they were born and raised here. So no assuming that the indian couple had freshie accents...that's almost an urban legend around these parts, almost.

Richard Hammond Update and Thorpe Park

Well, it's been a couple of days since old Richie, affectionately called "Hamster", was admitted to hospital, and since then he's made great progress. Yesterday he smiled at Jeremy Clarkson and had a short conversation with James May, both co-presenters of Top Gear. Today, he was well enough to share a joke with his wife and even got up and walked to the loo, while enquiring about what had happened. So far so good, though the doctor's say the first 10 days are crucial moments, especially since he's sustained significant injuries to his brain.

However, if he's well enough to walk around and chat, deep in my heart, I know he'll recover fully. I'm still going to be praying and wishing him well, until I'm sure he's in the definate clear.

In other news, regarding yours truly, I'm in pain. Incredible pain. Not cool. Yesterday I made my way to Thorpe Park for my friend's 23rd birthday. I went despite feeling incredible, but with a sore throat and a barely audible voice. I had a good time and there were 5 of us in the beginning, with a 6th joining us later on. We went on a lot of rides I wouldn't normally go on, like Colossus, Slammer and Nemesis Inferno. It's not like I hate rollercoasters, it's just that they take advantage of my fear of heights. My coping mechanism? Close my eyes. Although whenever I opened them, it was always at the worst possible moment. I now know why Grissom, or CSI: Las Vegas/Crime Scene Investigation, rides rollercoasters to deal with his emotions after an emotional case...well at least I think I do. One of the scariest rides I saw was Rush. I thought it was okay, because all it does is swing you back and forth, going higher and higher each time, but when I saw that the only support was around the waist...I turned tail.

When I think about it, who on Earth designs these rides and names them? There's Stealth that takes you from 0-80 miles per hour in 0.3 seconds, and Detonator that takes you high up and pauses for a couple of seconds, then rushes you straight down, slowing at the last moment for safety purposes. Ah well...I'm a chicken, but I survived. Oh and I was never too keen on the Samurai either.

Two of the funniest moments were:

1) on the Rumba Rapids, we were allowed to go on it twice as a birthday treat for my friend. The first time around, we were taken by surprise by the waterfall, and the second time around we all clambered to the dryest side and pretty much dodged the waterfall. However, we almost capsized the raft in the process.

2) on Logger's Leap I was sitting at the back, because I wasn't sure if all five of us could fit in boat, but we did. The lone male was in front of me and to make an awkward situation socially acceptable, I realised I could rest my knees on the bottom of the boat, so that was okay. On the way down the second ramp, a female friend sitting in front of the lone male, had her poncho blown up by the wind and covered the three of us so when the camera took our picture, you can see the two girls at the front and a big blue blob at the back. I started laughing as soon as the poncho blew up and when we splashed into the water, I think some of the splash went into my mouth. Oh yeah, by then it had started raining, so to save ourselves, we bought poncho's. Not the coolest accessory out there, but we had no other choice.

About my throat, it was the result of an infection...something I don't know how I got, and I wasn't sure if it was contagious orally or not. I let the group know that I had a sore throat, and I felt really bad that I couldn't hold a conversation for very long. Plus, when I tried to talk it felt like I was stammering, but in fact I was trying to make it so that when I started to talk my voice would actually be heard. Anyhow, the lone male who was by now no longer the lone male, since we were joined by the 6th member of our group by then, had bought a Double Espresso and asked if I'd like to try some when he found out I was a coffee-drinker. Sadly I had to turn him down, and tried to explain why, but wasn't sure if he took offense. I really had his best interests at heart, I mean, I would hate for anyone to catch what I had.

When we were all going our separate ways at the end of the day, it turned out he didn't know what was wrong with me, so I had to explain to him. He only got curious when our friends wished me well and hoped I'd get better in time for Uni. Apparently he hadn't noticed a change in my voice, which is understandable since I hardly spoke to him. We only just started speaking towards the end of the 2nd year, even then it was few and far-between.

Richard Hammond, Pull Through

Fans of Richard Hammond, if you're unaware, he was admitted to hospital today for extensive injuries that resulted from a crash. He was driving a jet-powered car, and upon having broken the land speed record and deploying the parachute to slow down, the car veered off the track and overturned.

He is currently in critical condition and is still unconscious. I pray that he pulls through. Please make it Mr. Hammond, my prayers and those who love you are with you.

Man that sounds painfully cheesy, but I love him and the energy he brings with him.

Name Change

Well, I've finally decided upon a new name for this blog. It will now be known as Devious Undergrad! Bow before its might! Or rather, just acknowledge the name change and update your links.

Right, Devious because we all know how Devious I can be. Undergrad because that's what I am. I am an Undergraduate student, and am officially enrolled onto the 3rd and final year of my BSc Course in Internet and Multimedia. Wish me luck peeps/homies/random visitors.

If you scroll down much further, you'll see I have a new button. I've joined BritBlog, like any self-respecting British Blogger Citizen would do. If you too are British, a Blogger and a Citizen, you should go do that too. Notice how I also used BBC? I swear to you that was an accident!

I just have to wait for a confirmation e-mail regarding my joinage, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna get one, because like...the address I signed up with was apparently deleted by MSN. NOOOO!!! My correspondence e-mails with my overseas buddies!!! The horror!!! Yeah, that's what I was like for a good while and then kicked myself, it was my own damn fault that I forgot to sign into that account last month. Gaming is an evil, evil, EVIL addiction, but in the end, I have nobody to blame but my dumb-butted self.

God that's depressing, and especially after the very good and sweet memories I made yesterday with a very dear and special friend of mine. Nothing romantic, we just had a good time catching up and talking about current events and the woes of society, as well as learning a little bit more about each other.

On that note, I would also like to say that I have completed Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse. That was like last Saturday I think, and have since been completing the after game bonuses. Right now I'm trying to pay of the outrageously high Captain's Debt of 10,000,000G. I've only got 8,930,000G left! So I'm trying to steal more Awakening IV's from the "last" boss, which is a kick in the non-existant nuts because there's no way to skip the credits! Since I have another 17 battles with the "last" boss to go, I'll practically know the ending off by heart, and if I'm lucky, the lyrics to the song too!

I want to start Shadow of Memories!!!

*sigh* Time for me to go, I'm watching True Movies, so in the meantime, Ride Free Citizens!

By the way, I had no idea Kristin Kreuk of Smallville played an Indian girl. The movie is called Partition and I only checked it out because of the hawtness that is Chenier Hundal. I also have yet to watch that movie...

NB: For those of you who don't know the acronym BBC, it stands for British Broadcasting Corporation

Riding Strong

Back in the 80's the world was introduced to, what would soon be a phenomenon, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Almost everybody has heard of this anime, well more likely those who watch anime. The title of most known anime would be Akira, or so I like to believe.

I'm not going to go into a long spiel over the enigmatic awesomeness of the series, seriously it plays with your head and the movies aren't any better. They just leave you with more questions!

But to make the long speech short, they're pumping out 4 new Eva movies. Yup, looks like old Eva is still riding strong. The first of these movies is due for release mid-late next year (2007), with the last three coming out in 2008. I'm really looking forward to them, maybe then my questions will be answered and no more will sprout.

That's wishful thinking. Why? Because the previous installments answered questions that cropped up in the series, while leaving some open and giving you a whole lot more to ask about the series.

Also, if you have a LiveJournal or something, check this out a follow the link:

I refreshed it many times, and the most common one that came up was "Anime is Love"...methinks it's trying to tell me something...

Oh and there you have it folks, I am love. ErutanXiku is my webname, for those of you who didn't know.

Intense Personal Stuff

So uh yeah, I said I'd make a post on the 11th, but meh. I didn't get around to it, my excuse? I had some intense personal stuff going, to be more specific a continuation of what I mentioned two posts ago.

Basically, my mum made us make up...sort of. Well she was the catalyst. So yeah, everything's cleared up and I was gonna write about it, but felt there was no need since this is going straight into my biography.

Exotic and Erotic

Hmm...the thoughts that run through my head...

Well, on the way home from the Crown Court yesterday, we headed towards Hounslow to get us some pizza. We passed an indian grocery store by the name of Desi...something...yeah, my memory's been pretty bad lately -_- Anyway, I read their list of goods for the umpteenth time (we pass the shop quite often on our travels), and the last one is "Exotic Foods". Me being me, my brain starts off a word association chain with certain words...in this case "Exotic". So I list off a bunch of Exotic Fruits, like Passion Fruit and Pawpaw, when "Dancing" pops in.

This gets me to thinking, why is it called "Exotic Dancing" and not "Erotic Dancing"? I mean Salsa Dancing isn't considered "Exotic" Dancing, but rather a form of Ballroom Dancing or something. Well, it's socially acceptable. Now now, I know some of you are gonna be exclaiming that not all Exotic Dancing is a form of Erotica...but it's really what everyone understands to mean as Erotic Dancing, since it's what leaps to the mind. If you're gonna throw Whirling Dervish or Shaman Dancing, well most people tend to think of that as a form of Cultural Dancing, rather than Exotic...unless someone went out of their way to use the term and correct the listener on what they meant.

So yeah, Exotic Dancing. Not really Exotic is it, if it really consists of a striptease and a few minor accessories like a pole. I'm not saying its bad, though it is degrading, but really what people choose as their profession is by no means any of my business. Service is the hardest job out there, even if it's fan-service. But going back to my thoughts, there's nothing really Exotic about a scantily-clad person swinging around on a pole while removing bits of clothing; an act that's simply entertainment and takes you to a happy place "down there". I guess it can be considered to provide ample distractions to help take your mind off work, and to help you forget your troubles. Though, not being a guy, you won't find me in a place like that...even if it's for women. I'll be playing games for that kind of therapy.

Hmm...my thoughts on why it's called "Exotic Dancing" kinda root on our society. We're in a time where almost everybody is a closet pervert, even me (as much as I'd like to deny it and say that I'm pure and innocent). Everyone's all uppity about their image, and it just won't do for an upstanding citizen to have a lad's night out and report about it the next day with the following:

"I went out to an Erotic Dancing Club with the guys last night, boy did we have a good time *wink wink*"

That right there people, is an open admission to being a pervert and into very naughty things, and others can only imagine what else this taint upon society has a fetish for. God forbid they be into pornography and masturbation, why that's a one-way ticket to Hell, what one earth would their mother think? If they happen to be of Asian descent, they better apply for a change in identity and plan their "death" because by the time they get home, they'll find their bags on the doorstep and their parents and extended family ready and waiting for them with a ready-to-burn stake.

Yep, that's the time we live in. Come to think of it, society has shunned naughty things for as far back as one can remember. Also, "Exotic" sounds more classy and less sleazy compared to "Erotic" so that there could be another reason.

Hmm...this whole thing has also led me to realise that "Exotic" is one letter away from "Erotic"...go figure.

EDIT: If you're wondering why it says "yesterday", well it was meant to be posted on the 10th as opposed to the 11th, I had the entry all typed out, but forgot about my firewall and had to put it up using my AOL account -_-;;

You can also expect another post today, which some of you may find offensive though I really don't mean it to be. After all, I warned everybody in my disclaimer *points to above*

Kingston Crown Court Open Day

Today my mum took my younger brother and I to Kingston Crown Court, because there was an open day and she thought it would be pretty fun. Also, it would help my brother with his story, which I must say is pretty interesting. However, I'm sad to say that we're not on very good terms and I'm pretty peeved at it balancing on my apology, when I really don't have anything to apologise for. This is where self-loathing comes in, because I start thinking that I'm being selfish and too prideful, and then the other part of me kicks me in the ass saying that I shouldn't roll over because that's what I always do, and I'm really tired of being treated inferior to my younger brothers. I mean why should I always apologise? It's not like I'm always in the wrong, even when it isn't my original fault I have to apologise. But when it's between my brothers, they're too headstrong and the youngest of the two actually never apologises for anything, not even for pissing me off. I'm really fed up with it, but am too much of a pushover to say anything about it because I don't want to get on the wrong side of my mum. I mean, it's easy for her to treat me like an adult because I'm the oldest, but my brothers aren't getting any younger either and she still coddles them. I mean I still do get praised for doing things, but it really hurt me when she made a big deal out of my youngest brothers GCSE grades, and I don't remember her getting all excited about my University marks. She even went so far as to celebrate his achievement, when nothing was done about mine. Don't get me wrong, I love my mum to bits and she's an awesome person, but everyone has their shortcomings.

Man I sound jealous, and it just adds up and I hate myself even more because of all things, I don't want to come off as a selfish person. I don't think I could handle that. Anyway, I have only one more year before everything is over, hopefully by then I can build up the courage/guts I need to actually say something. How unlikely.

Anyways, I was actually meant to talk about the Crown Court. Methinks I actually have a good sense of direction, since I was the one that got us there as we traversed through Kingston after parking the car a ways back. It was a cool and fun day, because when we got there we attended a mock trial, which was very entertaining; something that was done to keep the younger audiences entertained. We then signed up for the tour of the court and while we waited we looked around at the displays. We popped into the Children's Court, which allows children to play Judge for a day, and got goodie bags! I got sweets! Jelly Beans, Gummie Bears, Gummie Rings, Minstrels and an Egg! No, not an actual egg, but a jelly-type Egg. Man I felt like a kid ^_^

Anyhow, after that we sat around until it was time for the tour. The tour itself was very informative and we saw a lot of stuff, plus we got to sit in the Jury seats! We learnt about the different types of courts that the Crown Court houses. There are 12 in total, and some of them have special features, such as Screens for the Witness, Video-Link and such. All for different situations, just like Judges. Each on has their speciality, or Ticket.

After the tour we headed down to the prison cells, just to check it out. The cells themselves weren't really interesting, but when we went to check out the prison van, now that's when it got good. The prison van isn't like what you see in the movies or on TV, it's actually an armoured van that has the body divided up into an even number of cubicles, which seem to be 2x2 at least. The cubicles were lined up along either side of the van with a pathway down the middle. The policeman actually locked us up inside them, and I have to say it's quite nice in there. Really quiet and the space is all to yourself, though it's pretty dark in there.

After that we headed home, and all in all it was a pretty fun day :)

Oh yeah, my youngest brother didn't come with us, because again his friends were more important.

Crikey!

I'm listening to the radio on my way home, after dropping my brother at college, and the news comes on. The first report is about Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. As I'm sure most of the internet community and real world knows, he passed away today after being pierced through the chest by a Stingrays barb.

To be honest, I've never watched one of his documentaries, but even so it's almost impossible not to have known who the guy was. He cameo'd in a few movies and even had one of his own; quite a success.

It's sad because I'd like to say more, but I can't. However, if you'd like to know more, you can click here to read an article which details the circumstances, as well as the thoughts and heartfelt feelings of those who knew him.

My condolences.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Lucifer's Call aka Nocturne - COMPLETE!

Finally! I have completed this game! *throws a party*

When did I start playing this? About a month or so ago? Wow, it's been a long journey and it's finally over...I feel sad...

Not really! I've got plenty of other games to get through, and the next one on my list is Xenosaga II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse. It's been waiting to be played...for quite a long time.

Anyways, let me talk about Lucifer's Call. You already know that it's a long game to get through, especially if you're going to get and complete every little thing there is in the game. I ended up completing it with a total game time of 113:50...that's a pretty long time.

It's got very nice cel-shaded graphics, and lovely locations that resemble the actual places extremely well. It all takes place in Tokyo, Japan by the way and yes, I've been there and visited most of the sites available in the game, so I kind of reminisced a bit too, heh.

Coupled with the graphics, the story is just as good, pitting you against your friends as you strive to achieve the ultimate goal: Creation. Of course I went for what is commonly known as the "True Demon Ending", just because I wanted to do all the challenges first and then go onto doing the easier bits. To be honest, I was a tad disappointed with the final-final boss, but to say why would be spoilers for those who haven't completed it or played it yet.

Oh yes, the soundtrack. You can't have a game without some form of music or sound these days, and Lucifer's Call does not disappoint. Just as with Baten Kaitos, the soundtrack is one to remember. I only wish I had the money to actually buy all the soundtracks I love from the games I've played, alas for I am a mere broke University Student, whose money happens to just get spent on games and DVD's, as well as living essentials. Shameful, I know. But truth be told, most of the soundtracks I'm after I'd have to import, even if I look at Amazon, and I'm just not prepared to pay the extra postage and packaging at this moment in time.

For those of you who have misinterpreted what I wrote, as meaning that the soundtrack for Lucifer's Call is on the same level as that of Baten Kaitos, you read that wrong. What I meant was that both games have delivered great soundtracks, but are in no way on the same level. Both produced soundtracks suited to the mood of their games and both are memorable for that, because the music recorded was just right and pleasing to the ears. That's all I meant.

I can't really think much on what else to say, because the gameplay is pretty simple to understand and there's an incredible variety of abilities at your disposal. Just about anybody can get the hang of playing this game, because it's not all that complicated and doesn't really demand skill; just very good strategic ability.

All in all, it's a very good game and I recommend it...highly!

Unauthorised Plagiarism

So, this took place a little while back, starting from 30th July and resolved by 18th August. I understand it's a little late in being reported, but hey...I'm in no rush, plus I've had quite a bit of internet-related trouble of the broadband connectivity variety.

Anyhow, I was browsing the internet on the very early morning of 30th July, and decided to google my webname (ErutanXiku) to see how many results there were. Oh come on, don't roll your eyes at me like you've never done this before ¬.¬ I was surprised to see that there were 4 pages of results, but not so surprised to see where the results came from. All except for one at the very end of the list. It was in reference to a fanfic of mine, by the title of Song of Angels, and it was found somewhere that it was not meant to be. Someone had reproduced my fanfic without my permission, and I knew this because I have only authorised one website to host it without me having put it up personally.

I was filled with a range of emotions, but was most notably irritated and flattered. Flattered, because someone had liked my fanfic enough to host it on their blog. Irritated, because that someone had not received my permission to do so. Thus I contacted them, asking them why they had not contacted me about hosting it and where they had found it, and if they would be nice enough to put up my contact information so that people who liked it could contact me. Actually, instead of me writing it all out, here's the actual exchange complete with commentary in italics. I've opted against revealing the webname of this someone who reproduced my work.

Hi, I just happened to come across your blog, and found my fic up here, "Song of Angels". Though I am flattered, I don't recall you asking permission to post it up here. However, I thank you for posting up my name. I'd like to know where you found it and why you posted it up here, as well as why you never contacted me for my permission.

Thanks; I'm not offended, just surprised, so you don't have to take it down.

So begins the conversation. I contact him, make reasonable requests and even leave my e-mail address in the event that he should add my contact information, or if he favoured to continue this privately. I wait.

i just happened to watch the FF VII The Movie : Advent Children.. and i post this out because I'm fun of it.. does this have to me permited by you ? ermm.. i dun think so rite ? and how i'm gonna contact u anyway dude?

Okay, so their English isn't top-notch...I can deal, considering he's foreign. It's nice that you just watched FFVII: AC, but my fanfic has nothing to do with that. It's based on the game, which I admit, gave out the wrong message on the character whose perspective it's written from due to rushed translation. I don't think this person has ever written fanfiction before, nor has much experience with netiquette, or just chooses to be net-rude. I don't even see an answer to where the dude found my work in the first place. Rude indeed.

ErutanXiku wrote on Aug 6
Well you do need my permission to host it. I may not own Final Fantasy 7, nor had any part in it's production, but it is my work. I wrote it, so yes you do need my permission to host it.

It wouldn't have been that difficult to get in contact with me; any site that hosts my fanfic also has an e-mail address where readers can contact me.

I would appreciate it if you added my e-mail address to this post so readers can contact me, if you plan on keep my fanfic up here.

Whoops, I just noticed...I misspelled a word, it should be "keeping". Anyhow, as per my nature, I overlook his language, which I just want to rip apart, and reply politely and concisely. It's not all that hard to understand and comply with my wishes, after all, I am the author of the work in question.

AuthorOfBlog wrote on Aug 8
acutally, this is just a blog anyway, to let my friends see.. and it's not public.. so i dun think this should be permitted by you..

Oh how wrong I was. Now I feel like flamthrowing his ass. I mean it doesn't matter if it's a blog you're posting someone else's work on, you still need their permission!

ErutanXiku wrote on Aug 8
Now if you think about that for a moment, I'm not one of your friends so how do you suppose I can view this blog? Even my friends can view it, so obviously your blog is a public blog.

And it doesn't matter; if you copy and paste someone's work you need to get their permission if you intend to replicate it in any form. Even if it is for private use.

All I'm asking is for you to edit this entry and include my e-mail address so that other's can contact me if they're interested in reading my other works. If not, then I'll be forced to take action and notify your host.

I actually had two versions of this reply written up. The other one contained foul language, and I wrote it first because that's how peeved I was by this point. I had to write this one a little later, once I had calmed a little. Just so you know, I'm a very patient person, but not all that tolerant. He's being such a dweeb about this whole thing, I mean it's not gonna kill him to make one tiny edit, is it?

up to you
i've nothing to say
speechless
it's not really public actually, its just a friends netword that i post this
people who can see it's just friends, your friends, my friends...
it's not that it's really public that people who wan to search for this they can search from links like www.yahoo.com or www.google.com... they can't , OK?

What's wrong with this reply? I found the blog on Google, how can you not say that it's not public? Sure you might not have intended it to be, but it is, so there.

After that, I held true to my word and contacted the host of his blog immediately. I wanted my work off of that blog since the author was being an uncooperative so-and-so. I'm not posting the correspondence with the host, because it includes the blog-author's name and the general gist is that in the end, my work was taken down as per my wishes and all's well. I have rescued my work from Unauthorised Plagiarism, and will be vigilant for any more cases such as this.

Trip to Dover

Hey all!

Just got back from a day trip to Dover. It's about a 2-hour drive from my house in South-West London, by taking the M25. An awesome, but long journey. You can take a nap and wake up 10-minutes before arrival; lovely if you're a passenger, but not so much if you're the driver.

Upon arrival, we went straight to Dover Castle, which is an incredible piece of history with so much to do. Too much to cover in one day. One thing I have to say, is that I hate the people who built it, because there are just too many stairs going up, and when you're checking out the tunnels there are just too many incredibly steep walkways. Plus it's dark and I almost tripped and fell over, if it hadn't been for my brother who grabbed me from behind. I was also reprimanded by an old man and his female companion to be more careful, because I could have broken my neck.

We plan on going a second time and covering a lot more during October, which is when they're holding archery; a sport I have had my heart set on since as far back as I can remember. We may also be dragging my friend, Bhavna, along too. Upon deciding to call it a day around 4pm, my mum and youngest brother went to check out information on joining the Heritage Membership, which grants free access to Heritage Landmarks and half-price on certain events. This was suggested by a friend of my mum's, who's a plumber and does work on her houses, that we ran into while returning from the Castle Keep.

My mum then took us to dinner at a Chinese Restaurant, and then took us for a walk along the coast. It's really nice and peaceful, and we plan on making a proper holiday soon; you know, staying at a hotel and stuff, because there's just so much to do and see.

We then headed home and stopped over at Twickenham's BlockBuster, because my youngest brother wanted to get a game. He got 50 Cent: Bulletproof for the X-Box. I don't have to express my feelings about this, other than I really hate these kinds of games. They make idols out of ordinary humans, who don't appear to have any real good qualities about them. They play on racial stereotypes, and are chock-full of bad and disgusting language and highly promote violence against people. It's a game that only my youngest brother would call "cool" and buy. Want to know something completely retarded about the promotion of the game by his truly (50 Cent)? I read that he said that even though the game is rated 18 (for good reason, I might add) he still wants children of all ages to buy and play it...

Anyway, today's Sunday, so as per my promise I checked out Shortpacked! at TNI and found that you have to click "next" to get to the new comic. They have an archive with the newest comic at the top, and so I went and changed the link to reflect this.

Naruto! Believe It!

So, I realise this is pretty late; it was originally meant to be posted last Wednesday, 16th August. Well, thanks to my ever wonderful friend Bhavna, I was hooked on reading a webcomic by the title of Joyce and Walky! The link takes you to the latest comic, which is part of an arc of fun stuff. The actual story started almost 10 years ago, and I'm not going to force you to read it from the beginning. That's your choice. Aw to heck with it, here: Roomies!

As of last night/wee hours of early this morning, I was finally up-to-date with the comic and feel pretty unfulfilled what with the cliffhanger, and some issues related to the personal lives of the characters. Anyhow, not my story...all I can hope for is some out-of-the-hey! miracle.

You'll find three new links under "Webcomics": Shortpacked!, Joyce and Walky!, and Shortpacked! at TNI

I'll check out TNI on Sunday and see how the new comic will be put up, i.e. whether it will replace the current one or if you will have to navigate to it. Depending on this, I will change the link on Sunday.

Right, back to business. I have one other piece of news, but I figure this post will become too long what with having to include my review of the dubbed Naruto (oh God...here it comes, not another fan raving). So, I'll save the other piece of news for like...tomorrow.

Before any of you think that I'm an angry fan, I'm not. Yes, I'm angry, but no, I'm not a fan. In fact my love for Naruto died when the 100+ episodes of fillers were brought in; I kid not...there are really 100+ filler episodes. In these fillers, the characters have been totally dumbed down and Naruto has been turned into your typical "I-care-not-for-authority" sort of character. What really got me peeved was how Rock Lee was really weakened, when he's one of the really powerful ninjas in the village. Oh and don't get me started on Shikamaru.

Anyhow, this is the dub we're talking about, and so the dub we'll focus on. The dub of Naruto was aired on Saturday 22nd July 2006 on Jetix. The adverts were shown about a week prior, and my ears recoiled at the mispronounciation of the title..."Na-ROO-toe", with "Na" being pronounced like it is in "Nathan". I've just been watching subs so long, that english pronounciation of foreign words have gotten kinda on my nerves. What's more is that dubs don't seem to help that at all, I mean...would it kill them to actually have someone teach them proper pronounciation? I don't think so.

The first thing you're exposed to, when watching an episode, is of course the opening sequence. I really liked the original opening, but it's a sad thing that they couldn't get the license to actually use the song. So, I understand that they had to go and make their own one, but they could have made it more...decent. What we get is a pretty bad rockish tune, full of not-so-cool electric guitar sounds, all rounded off with random bits of voice that say something I can hardly make out. What I could make out was the following: "Huh!" and "Fight!" and the rest is pretty unintelligible. Also, the clips put to the "music" was not so cool...I seriously could have done a better job with the opening. I know whining isn't going to get me anywhere, but I really do feel strongly about some aspects. I accept that they didn't get a sweet deal, but at least they could have made a better job of it.

Next, a lot of mispronounciations, but I've already covered that. Ah yes, the title characters voice. Not so cool. It sounded okay to me at first, then it just got annoying and unemotional. You see, because the actress makes the voice kinda scrappy and gravelly, she's compromising emotion. Like when Naruto is kinda angry or summat, he sounds just like he normally does. Oh and when he's crying and feeling emotional? He sounds like he peeved about something. Very bad directing there.

Rock Lee's voice sounds good, I just dislike how they've given him this "I-must-pronounce-every-single-word-I-utter" kind of dialect. Makes him sound like an annoying robot.

The use of "Jutsu". Why could they not have just used the word "Technique"? Okay, so you want it to sound good and true...but if you use an entirely english translation for a phrase, you may as well use english all the way, rather than a 3/4:1/4 phrase.

"The Village Hidden in the Leaves" Too long for my liking. "Hidden Leaf Village" made just as much sense, and sounded better when mentioning the "Hidden Sound Village". I wonder how they phrased it in the manga translations...

Pretty much the last thing to note, would be how they chopped the episodes and threw in their own "neato-mad-computer-skills". They've chopped bits out, which I can live with since the West has different broadcasting regulations, but they've also overlapped scenes to make a "cool" effect. Also, to compensate for the lower episode content due to chopping and overlapping, they actually pause episodes at a certain point while characters are speaking off-screen or thinking.

Personally, I'm not sure if I'll buy the DVD...cool it's uncut, but I dunno. I have a lack of shelf-space as it is, and the series is nearing 200+ episodes.

Oh, also the series sometimes feels rushed. That makes sense, because the license for the series was only acquired early this year, with the goal of releasing the dubs during the 3rd Quarter.

What has me fearful is that Bleach has been picked up by the same studio...

Busy Day

Well, I haven't had an internet connection for the past few days and finally had it sorted out in the wee early hours of this morning. Turns out it was the way we had set up hour phone socket. Well we really only have one main socket and an extension line, so all phone-related stuff is connected to this one main socket. All that will change...soon. We're planning on having another mains fitted in near the PC, so that the mobile phone and router can occupy that and the original main socket will connect the other phone and Sky Digital.

Anyways, yesterday. Yes, yesterday. My mum took my brother, (the older of the two), and me to Southall; the town I personally dub Little India. Why? Well, it's not small enough to resemble China Town, which spans a few streets; it actually covers the entire town of Southall. Everywhere you look, it's all Indian shops and the majority of the population is Indian. Hounslow is quickly being taken over too.

In Southall, my mum wanted to do some shopping, and with that done we had lunch/dinner at Chandini Chowk. The food there was awesome, and the sweets are lovely. I seriously want to learn how to make Indian sweets, and I have two options: 1) Look for lessons/apprenticeships, or 2) Search for recipes and make the sweets from scratch, just like how I make other foods I've never made before.

While exiting the restaurant, a jewellers caught my eye, because of its display. In the window, instead of the regular necklaces, earrings and bracelets that one normally sees, there were two large pieces of jewellery that cover the entire torso. They were beautiful, but ridiculous in that why would anyone want to wear something so obviously heavy? Well, turns out this type of jewellery is very popular among the Lybians and Arabians, and costs around £60,000. Like woah!

After doing a bit more window shopping and looking around here and there, we headed home.

Oh and other reasons as to why I refer to the place as Little India, well...people behave like it's India, i.e. crossing the road whenever you feel like it, especially when a car is not more than 5 metres away from you. The drivers also get pissy really fast and love tooting their horns to indicate this, even in situations where tooting your horn won't result in traffic moving faster.

But I love the place, really...sort of...

Blood Test Results

So, yesterday I went to the doctor's with my mum to get my blood test results from the last test.

Well, according to the results I'm officially anaemic. My Iron level is 10.5, while it should be around 11.6. A slight difference, but a difference nonetheless.

As such, I have been prescribed Ferrous Sulphate tablets, which I need to take twice a day for a month. At the end of the month, I need to have another blood test to see if my Iron levels have gotten better. To my understanding, upon reading the information sheet that came with the tablets, these tablets replace the Iron in my blood and come with a set of not-so-nice side-effects.

These side-effects include:

1) Possible constipation
2) Possible diarrohea
3) Black...stools...

So far I haven't had the urge to go to the loo, so I guess I'm not experiencing Symptom #2. That means I could be experiencing Symptom #1, but I'm not all that sure. I don't even know if I'm experiecing Symptom #3 yet...and frankly, I don't quite want to know, because the thought of making black poop scares the poop out of me.

Day Out and Brainiac's Test Tube Baby.

Today we (as in my family and I) went to London. We've decided that since it's too late into the Summer holiday, what with touching up the house and my blood tests, we won't be going overseas and instead will try to enjoy our home country. So we planned to spend the day in London, well actually we went to London because the eldest of my two younger brothers has been wanting to go for like forever so he can pick up a book or three. We may actually spend a few days in Dover, just checking the place out and stuff.

So yeah, we went and had a good time, only when coming back did things start turning South. I hate it when that happens; you have such a good time all day only for it to be horribly ruined when you're heading home. Also, I am no longer a Subway virgin...I quite like the sandwiches; what I had was the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki, yum yum ^_^

I bought Fruits Basket Volumes 9 and 10, and some Fruits Basket Pins, while my brother bought Bleach Volumes 11-13 and my youngest brother bought himself a book on Origami. Yep, he's currently obsessed with Origami, not that I have anything against it, I just really hate how he's using up all the printer paper. Paper doesn't come cheap you know, even the cheap stuff is pretty expensive -_- Oh yeah, by "bought" I mean that my mum bought them for us...

Right now, however, I'm watching Brainiac's Test Tube Baby...I quite like it, seems quite fun. It's trying pretty hard to live up to the original Brainiac: Science Abuse, but unlike History Abuse (which I never liked), I think this will actually survive :) Pretty much all the Brainiac gang is there, except for a few new faces, most notably the presenter.

Oh oh! I forgot to mention in last post, concerning Cars To everyone planning on watching this movie, be sure to stay until after the credits! Also, I really love the OST, it has some very nice songs.

Movie Reviews: Superman Returns and Cars

Two posts in one day?! Eh, what can you do...it's not like I planned on anything else interesting to happen.

Well, I just came back from watching Pixar's new movie Cars, and man I have not seen so many trailers for 3D movies in one sitting. It's like it's all the rage right now o.O

Anyway back to Cars, without giving anything away, I utterly loved this movie. Even my mum loved it, which you can tell by her not sleeping through it (which she kinda did with the last three movies we saw, heh). Actually, I love all of Pixar's movies, they've just had gem after gem, and this one was just as good. It may have played on certain cliches, but it's story was enjoyable as well as the gags; if it's one thing Pixar knows how to do, it's to keep an audience entertained while telling a story.

While I know how I felt about this movie, I can't say much about Superman Returns (finally I get to it). I went into the movie, watched it, had a decent time and came out with mixed feelings. I couldn't tell if I liked it or not; never have I been able to tell if I like a movie or not. I'm not saying the movie was bad, but I don't know if I can say it was good either.

First off, the idea and plot was good. Second off, I liked how it was delivered and how the resources were used. But really, Lex Luthor as your villain kinda gets boring; it's no wonder why people only remember him as Superman's nemesis, he's only been the movie villain for like forever. Sure he's the big bad guy and seriously has it in for the boy scout superhero, attmepting to get rid of him in more ways than one and recurs in the comics, but it would be nice to see other villains step up to the plate...like the Batman movies, you don't see the Joker coming back in every movie. Same thing goes for the X-Men movies...Magneto is their arch nemesis, but it would be nice to see other villains like Mr. Sinister.

Another thing that annoyed me about this movie is that the guys who came up with the script decided to stick their little asses in; it's like they're saying "Ooh! Look at us, we wrote this movie and it gives us automatic rights to be in it, so hah!" I know, that's a bit of a whine, but it annoys me, I wanna watch a movie, not see if there's a cameo made by the guy(s) behind it. Even Stan Lee being in movies annoys me. If you throw Woody Allen in my face, I tell you now, I have never seen a single movie of his and don't plan to. Ever.

I liked the Superman costume in this movie, but I don't like how it makes him look like he's a freak. Have you seen how long his upper torso looks? It's like dude, is there something wrong with your body? Then you realise it's the way the costume was designed...

One final thing, something that I agree wholeheartedly with Bhavna on, is that...why make a sequel in the first place? As far as I know, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace didn't leave room for a sequel. It wouldn't have killed them to make a completely brand new movie and still dedicate it to Christopher Reeve and his mother. There's something about Lois that bugs me, but I can't mention it since there are those who haven't seen the movie, but plan to when it comes out on TV.

So, those are my movie reviews and I'm going to go off to do some stuff, toodles!

Ahh! Blood! Take 2

Today I had another blood test, where my blood was extracted for the second time in two weeks. Let's go back a bit, to last Friday, and explore my results and the reasons behind this second round of blood harvesting.

Well I got my blood test results, for the first round, last Friday. From these results, it was revealed that I do not have a Thyroid problem and maybe mine just swelled up because I was a tad sick, though I didn't feel sick. It was also revealed that my bad cholestorol is slightly high, while my good cholestorol is slightly low (by 0.1 to be exact). Also, I am apparently anaemic...something I did not see coming. A possible reason for this could be because I have quite heavy periods, but something that the doctor found to be quite strange was that the corpuscles in my blood were quite small, whereas in most anaemics it's quite large. So he ordered a second blood test that would check my ferritin level, which happens to be directly proportionate to the level of iron in my blood, to see if my body is actually absorbing iron. Well since he speculated that I look healthy, then surely my blood must be absorbing iron...just not enough of it.

And there you have why I needed a second blood test. Depending on the results, I may actually need to take vitamin supplements...oh joy, you can just hear the enthusiasm. I'm not a very keen pill-taker, I tend to like toughing things out even if it's a mind-splitting headache, though in some cases I do take the odd Ibuprofen, since Paracetamol does nothing for me; it just makes the pain even worse.

Heh, this time around I barely felt the needle, but I did feel it when the nurse took it out. Also, I did the silly thing and had blood taken out of the same arm again, and it feels quite sore. I'm sort of having a bit of trouble typing...the fingers on my left hand feel heavy and slow.

Random Sugar Honey Iced-Tea!

Today has been a very busy day, but it was totally fun and worth the burnout I'm feeling right now. Today, two of my best friends came over; an occurrance that is very rare during the Summer.

My day started out, waking up at 8.30am and jumping out of bed on auto-pilot, while in a sleep-filled daze, and fumbling to switch off the unrecognisable sound of my alarm clock. I flipped the switch down, expecting the sound to go off but it didn't, so I did the daring thing and flipped it up and quiet reigned in my room. I then flopped back into bed, only to wake up again at 9.30am. I couldn't get back to sleep, so I just lay there and got out up around 10.30am.

I then vacuumed the living room, in preparation of my friends' arrival. To kill the time I played some SMT: Lucifer's Call. At around 1.30pm-ish I felt like going for a walk, only for my friends to turn up at the door. It was great, tear-filled hugs and cuddles all around (I exaggerate), but really it was a touching moment.

I gave my friend, Leena, a tour of the house as it was a her first time and Bhavna was allowed to tag along ^_^ We messed about quite a bit and talked a lot, catching up and cracking jokes and laughing at all the stupid things we did (most of them were me, I think...) We took pictures of each other in funny poses (I used mine as my profile picture, aren't I spiffy?) The sunglasses I'm wearing are Leena's, to be honest I think they're pretty cool...though I don't think I got a chance to tell her that ^_^;;

We then proceeded to surf the internet, first showing Leena a funny strip Bhavna found of various characters visiting deviantART, followed by some cool and funny Harry Potter images found at accioBRAIN!. They then showed me some comics at Simply Potterific Comics, and then Leena showed us a clip from FF7: AC which had been given fun-subs, which was found on YouTube; it's title is Mr. Fluffy. In turn, I showed them a Captain Planet music video using clips from FF7: AC.

Would you guess that we then watched the movie? Yeah, we watched it, though not peacefully since Bhavna's only contact with a Final Fantasy title was 'The Spirits Within', so she had a lot of commentary to accompany the movie along with a bunch of questions. Thus, we had to pause quite a lot so that I could give a crash-course in the world of FF7; mainly covering who/what JENOVA was, why the three brothers referred to Cloud as a brother and, as requested by Leena, what Rufus's role was. Even those were riddled with commentary, and even moved off topic. In the end, Bhavna understood the story as the Krypton-woman came down with the goal to destroy the world, and attempted this by taking the form of the inhabitants' dead relatives and thus driving them crazy. What remaining Etcetera that still had their sanity, banded together and sealed the Krypton-woman, after which most of them collapsed from weakness and died. She also understood that Professor Hojo and Sephiroth both have issues, and that, by her reckoning, Cloud was a pot-head who liked to get on a high at the most inappropriate and random moments.

With the movie over, we then watched an old ep of Friday Night with Jonathon Ross, which featured Paul Bettany, William Shatner and Robbie Williams with Terry Venables. Personally, I don't get the attraction factor in Paul Bettany, but shh, don't tell Leena and Bhavna that I said that :p

Afterwards, we just chilled and then got ready to drop them home, courtesy of my lovely mum ^_^

Oh yeah! Be sure to check them out at the following:

Ahh! Blood!

Today I had blood taken out for a test. I can't remember the last time I had blood taken out. It hurt a lot more than I had expected, but also a lot less than I had expected.

The nurse took out three vials of blood and I was fascinated by how dark the colour was, but was also trying to find somewhere else to look because I don't do well with blood. Actually, I don't mind blood, I just can't stomach surgery.

After the nurse was done taking her samples, she stuck a plaster...on the wrong spot, which I had to fix when I got home. Oh and my arm hurts when I bend it. It's not so bad, it just tingles and feels weird, while hurting/throbbing slightly at the spot she took blood from.

The test results should be coming in a week or so. What are they testing? Well to see if I'm healthy and if I may have a Thyroid problem.

Day of Mourning

I know I said on DeviantArt that I'd cover my thoughts on Superman Returns, but yesterday was such a sad day.

The Playstation 2 is dead. My youngest brother killed it. It remains unknown whether it can be revived, but it is officially dead. I will not be able to advance in any of my PS2 games ;_;

Faretheewell Playstation 2...you have served me well for the past 6 years.

A bit overdue...

Hi all! Remember, a few posts back, how I was upset about losing the Bid on Destrega? Well a day or two after that, another one came up for 'Buy it Now'. I jumped for utter joy and ran to my mum giving her the good news, I then proceeded to click on the button and purchase the game. The reason I didn't mention this at the time is because I'm a pretty supersitious person, believing that if I hype over something, something bad will happen ^_^;; Anyways, a few days later (which would be last Friday), the game I have long awaited finally popped through my letter box in astounding condition. You, dear Seller, do not realise the extent of my gratitude, you truly made my moment *big smile*

Well, I played the game and still love the battle system, playing 1-on-1 with the older of my two younger brothers. After having enough, I went on to give Story Mode a whirl and was surprised to find that it incorporated Voice Acting...my face was plastered with shock. Voice Acting? In a PS One game? No way! The only other game I knew of that had Voice Acting (in the sense of Role-Playing) was The Legend of Dragoon, and even then it was pretty minor. The graphics were pretty good too, rivalling Final Fantasy VIII, and the Cut-Scene Graphics were pretty slick, again rivalling Final Fantasy VIII and IX.

Despite how much I was blown away by these revelations, the Voice Acting was decent...but left a lot to be desired, more prominently being certain points where the Vocals seemed to echoe (much like in Baten Kaitos, if you left the Vocal Sound on Surround...hopefully doing the same thing will fix it in Destrega). Also the Acting reminded me of how those old Chinese movies were dubbed...LoL.

It's still a good game, and I enjoy playing it for the battle system which was different and refreshing, as opposed to generic Beat'em Up's. Here, you can run around an arena and use magic from a distance, or as a follow-up to a close-range physical attack. Me likey.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest

Righto, today I went to the cinema with my mum and the older of my two younger brothers (the youngest one is apparently "Too good to spend time with his family, since friends, who screw him over eventually, are all he really needs in life," (NB: This is solely my opinion, and it's based on FACT!)). At my mum's suggestion, we went to watch the sequel to one of my favourite movies, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. JOHNNY DEPP WOO! Orlando Bloom was a nice side-dish, but Johnny Depp, my fandom reigns true! He is totally hot and an uber cool actor, I don't know why some people disagree with me...

Anyhow, back to the movie, it lived up to the first one and had sucked me in so deep I didn't see the end coming o.O I sat there for a moment, thinking 'Huh? *blink blink* Noo!!!!' It really pulled the carpet out from under me, now I have to wait until the third (and reportedly, last) installment. *sigh* I'm not going to say anything about it, just so I don't spoil the people who plan on watching it, but not yet. However, I will say this...WHORE! Evil wench! and Noooo!!! Oh and make sure you stay right to the end of the credits, there's a rather cute/funny scene at the very end. Besides, the music is wonderful and will keep you entertained while waiting for the credits to end. Go. See it. Now.

Upon exiting the cinema, I almost collapsed to my knees screaming. There was just too much colour and it was all bright, my eyes and brain couldn't handle it. Somehow, I survived the experience.

I am really compelled to watch Superman Returns. Why? Because it looks pretty cool and powerful, not as in the 'Oh My God! That was awesome and totally affected me right here!'-powerful, no, I mean as in 'Wow, those special effects totally did something to me, I mean did you feel that "whoosh"?!'-powerful. The story seems okay, and for some reason it has a pretty nice line about the Earth not needing a Savior, but calling out for one. I love Superman! And yeah, Brandon Routh is pretty nice to look at (again, why do some people disagree with me on this?)

Hmm...I've done enough fangirly ranting, so I guess I'll save some for the next post *grin*

Back-Dating Archives of LiveJournal Complete! Oh and some side news and views

Wow, talk about bombardment huh? Yeah, I know I kinda went off on one and did a whole LiveJournal Archive here, but I was looking through the blog and came across my two earlier posts. I then decided to get it finally over and done with and uploaded them all here, now there's only two more journals to archive and those are Hi5 and my MSN Space. "Be Prepared" is all I can say.

Took my car down for its MOT today, and handed the key in as well since the battery died and it needs to be changed. Actually, the battery died sometime earlier this year and I've been using the spare in the meantime ^_^;; My mum was with me and so was the eldest of my two younger brothers; I feel really ashamed that my mum has to pay for my car's MOT and its insurance...it's not right. But life seems to like screwing me over, i.e. spoiling me rotten while giving me no means to fund my needs. I'm unemployed, but not out of choice; I have applied to places and handed in CV's...but no-one takes me, and it's been the same story for the past 4 years.

After dropping my car off, we head to Hounslow so I can check up on some of the places I applied to as well as see if other places have vacancies...not looking good, though GameStation looks promising in that they still have my CV. Anywho, I get emotional when I'm tired and I didn't get much sleep last night, so at some point in the day I actually felt like crying and letting my frustrations out by vandalising something and feeling the blood flow. But I'm too big to act that way, so my eyes just stung mercilessly.

I'm a great believer in things happen for a reason, but I don't know what reason there could be for getting the short-end of the stick when it comes to job-hunting. Maybe I'm destined for something greater? Is this a sign for my to quit my ambitions and become a HouseWife? Or should I just sit down and use this holiday to pound out this novel I'm working on...damn writer's block ¬.¬

Whatever the reason, my main drive to look for a job is so that I can support my mum, and use the excess to put aside to repay my Student Loan and/or spend it on goodies for myself.

As for news, as per my predictions, Italy won the World Cup. Really, the match was one to watch and was pretty good; way too many close calls. Also, from this Sunday at 8pm the new series of Braniac: Science Abuse will be airing on Sky One...JOY!

Anyhow, I spent the day today with my good pal Beany, boy did we have fun...we experimented with biscuits, jaffa cakes and crackers with peanut butter, chocolate spread and salsa dip, while watching an episode of the third series of Braniac: Science Abuse. Yes, I absolutely love that show, Science Abuse rules and kicks History Abuse up the ass and far away, JA!!!

We spent the day watching a few things recorded on Sky+ (Justice League: Unlimited), playing a few beat'em up's and laughing a lot...especially when my brother's came home and started watching SpongeBob SquarePants -_-...and alas this is where my shameful secret (not sure if it can be called a secret, since it happened two nights ago) roots from.

*ahem* Well, *takes a deep breath* shamefully, I had a nightmare...this nightmare was a SpongeBob SquarePants episode...but it was no ordinary episode...it was a...porno...-_-;;

1) I was on holiday for 3 weeks in New Zealand, starting from 30th July
2) I was on holiday for 1 week in Fiji, starting from 20th August
3) I arrived back home on 30th August

Since then I spent the time resting, putting my feet up, recovering from some kind of weirdo illness I had (I hardly ever get sick, so imagine my surprise) and getting ready for my next year at University - yes, apparently I made it into the second year, while thrusting my lecturers and examiners into an awe-filled stupor at my mind-boggling intelligence and ability to put up the farce of stupidity...*cough*bullshit*cough* But I did make it into the second year with good marks, I can only hope that I manage to struggle my way into the third year...God, I hope I didn't jinx anything...>.> *rushes off to do anti-jinx rituals*

Okay, I'm back...oh and for the last week I've been watching Fruits Basket, t'is a fantastic anime series and is definately going to be on my favourites list, plus it has a lot of replay value since it's enjoyable ^_^

Alas, it's time for me to go, I have nothing new to report...so faretheewell, ta-ta, bye-bye and all that stuff ^_^
